Sassy Bloom's founder was inspired to start her company after a traumatic event in her life. She was rushed to hospital at 29 weeks pregnant and diagnosed with a rare, incurable progressive heart and lung disease called Pulmonary Hypertension. After a month in hospital she was operated on to deliver her baby and given a 50% chance of survival. Thankfully she survived the ordeal and her baby Gabriella was delivered. Whilst in intensive care her friends bought her a box of carefully selected baby gifts. When she returned home she was still recovering and found it hard to get out and about which gave her the idea for Sassy Bloom. Sassy Bloom has received multiple awards for their great box scheme.
